In 1986 Adrienne and Peter Skrumbis decided to venture into a small business along with their future son-in-law, John Philipopoulos. Peter taught high school history and his wife, Adrienne was teaching elementary school at the time. John was working long hours in another restaurant and attending college. A family friend had mentioned that the Sandwich Saloon in San Pedro was for sale and so began union of quality food, family, and a growing business . . .
